the risk of the existance of God

Pascal's wager =] And very true, although personally not the main reason I believe in God. But, nice entry, it made me smile especially as I've had a lot of atheists ridiculing my beliefs lately. I think that a lot of people don't *want* to believe in God because if they accepted that, they'd also have to accept the demands He makes of you, and ignoring the possibility of any sort of afterlife is easier. I'm also happy with my side of things. [FairytaleEnding]

An atheist scientist once wrote, (not an exact quote) “Either there is a God or there isn’t. Either way we are in trouble. If there is a God then we should find out who He is and find out what He wants. If there isn’t a God then we are spinning through space at millions of miles per hour with no one at the controls.” I’ve always thought that that was interesting. Spiritsfire [spiritsfire]

I agree with you. Don't really worry about what others think or say. I am a Christian and believe that there is a heaven and hell and that God will be there to re-watch my life with me. I wish to hear, "well done good and faithful servant" from Him. If by chance he doesn't exsist, like you say, oh well, what am I out...being decent to others? What's the problem there?![totallyfreeatlast]

Hello there Racquel, the title of your entry caught my eye this morning, so I stopped by for a visit. I have had many people mock me over the years about my faith in God, so I know what you're talking about. I have found the best thing I can do for them and for myself is to strive to be a good example of someone who lives in a way that is "different" from the way someone who doesn't believe lives. I try to treat others in a way that helps them to see that there is a difference, and maybe they will want to know how they can become different, too. Hope you have a nice weekend, and it was nice visiting. Good luck with this person who is challenging you....and see you later, Michael. [commonsensechristian]

I think it's good to believe in something...honestly I don't know whether or not I believe in God...a friend and I have this saying...about the only things we really believe....one is that if we put gas in our cars they are going to run...and the other being that our lives are big jokes and somewhere someone is laughing...[tylerhiltonfan06]
